We were out for a game drive on a misty morning at Amakhala Game Reserve. The purpose of the drive was to specifically looking for cheetah, and as the sun began to creep over the horizon we spotted this subadult, her siblings and mother racing through the early morning fog. Instinctively we thought they were in middle of a hunt, but as we got closer we realised that the group were busy at play, chasing eachother in circles through the bushveld. The sun began to burn off the fog and the temperature began to rise, prompting the playful cats to retreated to the shade of a cluster of thicket. This girl decided that the shade was too far away and plonked herself down in the middle of the road.
